Mike, I’ve never been to the Pepperdine Bible Lectures, and I couldn’t attend this year because, well, I live in West Africa. So I thank you for posting these links so that I can still be challenged by this proclamation of God’s Word. Thank you!

In 1969, when I was 14 years old, I remember asking my daddy why ‘girls’ couldn’t do the same things in ‘church’ as the boys did. As he was daddy to three daughters, (I’m daughter #2) & being wise & already a champion of women, he said to me—& I’ve never forgotten—“Andee Lea, there’s a day coming when girls & women will get to do what boys & men do now in The LORD’s church, & I hope to witness it before I die, & I hope you get to do the same. In the meantime, just know God loves you, & Mama & I do, too.” Daddy was a teacher at Harding, & always took up for the women faculty & staff, & said they should get equal pay for equal work. Daddy is my hero for ALWAYS seeking God & studying The Word, & I believe he would’ve given Jarrod Robinson a standing O for preaching this Truth, as he always did for you (Mike), Rick Atchley, & many others. And before he got Alzheimers, he heard me rave about Sara Barton, & would’ve been so proud to know she is a preacher of The Word, too…

    Dear Mike:
I decided to highlight that part of Jarrod’s starting place in his lecture misreads some of the archaeological evidence from Roman Asia. I will suggest that it is crucial that we better understand the background to Paul’s teaching as it reveals that apostolic teaching in 1 Corinthians 11 and 14 and 1 Timothy 2-3 was as “counter-cultural” in the first century as it is in our time in an equal rights culture.

Also, I hope that all of us hold onto a commitment to 1 Timothy 2-3 with the same commitment we hold to Galatians 3:26-28. Rendering 1 Timothy 2-3 as “occasional only” does not accurately represent the background to the teaching.

Glad to discuss with you and others. Up front I will point people to a study entitled Deceiving Winds which documents the background information here for people to take a look at.

    In Christ,
    Bruce Morton

    NEITHER does not mean BOTH.

There was no clergy under the Patriarchial Period

The fall into trinitarian and instrumental idolatry put the people under bondage to the “worship of the stars”

Christ in the prophets calls the civil-military-clergy complex robbers and parasites: Parasite is one who eats claiming a god connection.

Jesus died to remove the laded burdens and burden laders.

Christ to Paul in Ephesians 4 commanded the elders to eject the cunning craftsmen or sophists: speaking for hire, singers, instrument players or actors. because THEY ARE LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Christ plain forgot to mention “pulpit preachers” or a host of Tower of Babylonish staff.

If Galatians speaks of PREACHERS or “ministers” then Paul is saying that equality leaves NEITHER to claim the mediator role in songs and sermons.

The Word or Logos eleminates rhetoricians, personal opinion, singers, instrument players etal

The universal command is to SPEAK or READ the Word (only) and the speak words or opposite to ODE.

Psallo speaks of making war or gender conflicted people when you pluck a lyre string with your FINGERS but never with a PLECTRUM.

There is no command, example or remote inference of people gathering for “preaching” or group singing with or without instruments.

God wanted me to tell you that: He does not pray for the WORLD and God HIDES from the wise or sophists: speakers for hire, singers, instrument players.

If you “See godliness as a means of financial gain” then understand that God has parked you under the locusts who are the MUSES as the worship team of Abaddon or Apollon. The muses as singers and players (most males never did that) are identified as prostitutes (selling your services) and the SHEPHERDS of the end time.

Of course, I don’t expect you to listen: the concept of strong delusions marked by lying wonders meaning all of the performance roles claiming to be from a god proves that you may have fallen and can never get up. That may be why the panic in the end times is KAIROS time.

The Spirit OF (a preposition) Christ defined His future REST from whatever you can think of both inclusively and exclusively in the Prophets.

Is. 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

You will find this witness parked at the gate of heaven. you don’t have to post it to read it: KAIROS is the mark which God left for us.
