Game 5 World Series Pics
2011 October 25
OK, I’m kidding. I took those at a game at Wrigley. We were NOWHERE near that close to the field. But from the nosebleed section of left field, the following pictures actually were taken last night:
Wait until you see the huge Missouri flag that’s rolled out right before the national anthem at tomorrow night’s game!

Funny thing is. . .many Missourians (like ourselves) wouldn’t know the Missouri state flag if we saw it!
Gordon – Exactly! Nor do I remember taking a required course in Missouri State History.
So, Gordon and Mike, I guess I’ll supply your missing information.
The Missouri flag is of two Cardinals sitting atop one bat. The players wear the Missouri flag on their uniforms and also such can be noted emblazoned across pennants.
How do I know? I’ve been to Busch Stadium. They have the American Flag and then the Missouri flags all right there together!
Just so ya know…..
Nicely played by Mr. Cardinal himself. Of course, I was forced to Google the Missouri state flag to see what it really did look like, and of course it’s much less interesting than described herein. Bears? What’s that about?
Is the third picture above one you took, Mike, or is that from the MLB panoramic picture site for the game? That’s here, by the way– (http://mlb.mlb.com/photos/gigapan/?gpId=63f3ef5080d13234e946dfbe5faba395)
Very nice, Terry.
No, I’d already checked the panoramic site, only to find it’s taken from our direction. We had spotted ourselves near the foul poll in the ALCS, though. I snapped the last three pictures.
I hope you brought your glove! #Pujols
Keep Cliff Lee? NAH PULL LEE
Rumors are Puhols to Rangers as free agent after the season.
Congrats on the WS win Cardinals. Sports giveth and sports taketh away. Not sure how the Rangers recover from being one strike away twice – they looked kind of shell-shocked in Game 7. A nice run that ended up one little pitch from the promised land.
Loved seeing this in spite of Rangers’ collapse.
