Any last minute suggestions? (www.ironmanbranson.com)
Don’t try to run when you should swim, or swim when you should ride, or ride when you should run.
Good start, Andrew. That’s brilliant.
But let me be clear (since you didn’t cover these): Is it ok to run when I should ride, swim when I should run, or ride when I should swim?
Since Table Rock Lake is supposed to be clear, put your scuba gear on the day before and paint a black line on the bottom so you’ll be able to swim straight. Is that helpful?
quit early !!! well, that kind of defeats the purpose, but what are you trying to prove, anyway?
This suggestion left on Twitter by Rick Atchley:
Keep your Speedo on the whole race. It will save you valuable time by not changing.
With this added by Wade Hodges:
It will also save the eyesight of all watching.
And these are from my friends!
To bide the time, take note of any cool tattoos you may want for your own when you finish…

With God, all things are possible!
In high school track my Dad (Terry Pope) used to tell me: “Every time you feel like slowing down, speed up”. Simple. Easy to remember. Good luck!

Eat your Wheaties!!
Flippers, scooter, segway
From the Spanish: Slow down! I’m in a hurry!
This adage always helps calm my jitters when in a stressful situation or when commitments have me up against the clock.
My prayers for you – Be totally satisfied with what you accomplish! God will take you as far and as fast as you need to go and then some.
Watch videos of Team Hoyt – especially with Sheryl Thomas singing “Redeemer” in the background. Inspires me every time.
Thank you all so much for these words. The Clif Bar commercial is hilarious (and not far from true!).
Putting in order, Matt, for flippers, scooter, and Segway. Good thinking.
And Patsy, in my mind I’m still pushing Megan. She went hundreds (or thousands?) of miles with me while I ran in her adult stroller.
Good luck! If you get sick, just throw up and keep on keepin’ on!
