One of my heroes has died. Thank you, thank you, John Stott. You were a helpful, faithful guide in my life. (An hour I spent alone with him about 20 years ago was one of the most significant hours of my life. He was the embodiment of wisdom and humility.)
I think you will be thought of in the same way by many of us who have been privileged to hear you teach us, or read your thoughts in Wineskins, or your books. Thanks Mike for your passionate desire to serve God with the talent He gave you. Words are forever in our lives.

Thanks for the note about John Stott. I hadn’t seen that yet. You are right: what a truly amazing man he was!!
Stott was indeed a giant thinker. Loved his writings.
“The Cross of Christ” is one of the most convicting books I have read. What a privilege to have spent an hour with him.

His book , Between Two Worlds , is a classic on preaching.
That was a hard question,
Why we born, Why God made us here?
If all we go to heaven when we die, then Why God want us here first?
Indeed, it not something to laugh about.
