So, what about the time between Christmas & Easter? Maybe a sabbatical for everybody in that congregation? Sounds like a plan to me.
Your presentations at Pepperdine were great. I’m starting “Megan’s Secrets” tonight after having read Randy’s “Soul Work” on the plane home. I feel so very blessed to be able to attend the lectures, & I appreciate all the preparation you do to give us a fresh word from God……and all the others who do so, too. Thank you, thank you!
Ironically enough, you perceived the irony in the Lexus/”simplify” nexus precisely in the afterglow of a week in Malibu, no doubt eating your fill of fresh fish and hand-crafted guacamole. Thus doth the Christ make sport of our spiritual wit!
qb – Strangely, not much fresh fish this year. And sorely disappointed in the guac available there. The best guac was what I made for friends. Real red onion, real cilantro, real lime, and the best avocados anywhere.
Mike…you nearly had me in tears on your last talk. I didn’t see that coming. I think I really needed that. Thanks for all you do. I really couldn’t figure out how you held it together reading that letter and all. It was powerful.

My favorite sign I saw last year was a bumper sticker that said “Simplify!” It was on the back of a Lexus.
My favorite bumper sticker for the year I actually saw in a parking lot at ACU. It read “Custer died for your sins!”

So, why didn’t I see those signs? I guess I was too busy driving on 405. Loved being there.

But your point strikes home nevertheless!

Add a DDP, and you’ve got the four major food groups!

Actually a Lexus could be a good car to simplify with since they last very well. As one with a 17 year old Acura, I have no plan to update.

Wish I could have heard that one Matt. I happened to have a class at the same time. I guess I should order it.
Does Pepperdine still have the same ” magic” it did 20 + years ago?
David, It sure does to me.
