Buechner’s quote is exactly what oncology nurses do each day. Today I watched one loving nurse hold a young mom whose progressive cancer brings her to tears. Her loving response to the mother was a holy moment. Painful though these times are they do allow us to live life to its fullest.
Mike, Terry and I are not on Twitter but I saw your twitter feed about your upcoming book. And of course I started tearing up. Our son Taylor will be 21 next year and I still remember visiting at your home with Diane and Megan and the encouragement that Diane was able to give me as we dealt with Taylor’s disability. He is doing so much better than we ever imagined, but will always be with us. His greatest joy is “singing” on the praise team with Daddy leading worship. (Of course his second greatest joy used to be the Cowboys, but…)
Will be buying your book as soon as it is available and will have tissues handy.
It was so good to hear from Landon!
