The B-I-B-L-E
2010 September 28
The discussion from a couple days ago has turned largely from a discussion about the ministry of women to the nature of scripture (as you would expect). Here are a few older posts I wrote: some of my convictions about scripture and how we read it.

As a newcomer to this space, I want to thank you for these links. This is the discussion that’s needed. Based on the view of scripture implied in the other thread, we’re stuck.
I saw that King James bumper sticker when we first moved to Arkansas. My first thought was, “Oh, living here is going to be FUN!”
I had a friend one time that grew up old school Baptist. He once told me that growing up one of the preachers said from the pulpit, “The King James Version was good enough for Jesus, and it’s good enough for me.”
I enjoyed those articles. Thanks for linking them.
Thank you, Mike, for how you live your life, and thank you for the study you’ve done and for sharing it with so many others.
