What Really Matters: Singapore
2010 August 17
Back in the USA after a wonderful visit to Singapore. Thanks, thanks to Dave, Edwin, Sue, Suen, and so many others! Landon and I had a blast — getting to speak on two Sundays to combined assemblies as well as to 500 people in a “Life That Loves to Happen (at Work)” seminar and to 600 young people in a “What Really Matters” seminar.
For more on the churches in Singapore check this excellent Chronicle article; and look here for more on the Center for Fathering.
Here are a few photos (thanks again to Dave Hogan!):

Mike, dear friend!
I’m so pleased you are living your dream of reaching young people world over! I’m sure you shared your blessings received by passing them along to this group of young ones. May the seed you planted be carefully watered and tended and may God bring a great harvest for His Kingdom!
We miss you but are blessed to share you with the rest of the world. You certainly have a great message to share with these young people! PTL!! /
Glad you’re home safely! Maybe you’ll stay put long enough to allow at least a hug and hello before you’re off to travel again. Maybe even THIS coming Sunday will be that day. Hmmmm?
Thank you for being you, Mike – especially to a group of young people that probably would not be able to come to you, but you have had the grace to go with them.
In Him!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us Mike. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip and thoughts after you get over the jet lag. Glad you made it home safely. I am thankful to God that you are still reaching the hearts of young believers…this young believer has never been the same because of the foundations I learned at your feet from 1985-1989!
Thanks so much for those kind words, David. Hope you’re doing well!
Kathy, yes, THIS is the Sunday I actually get to be at Highland. I made sure I wasn’t traveling for Jonathan’s first Sunday to preach. Can’t wait to hear him and to see everyone.
YAY! And AMEN – I too can’t wait to hear him and see you!!
Welcome back, Mr. Sky-Miles !

Mike:
So glad you got to be with my dear friend, Dave Hogan. We went through a couple years of Harding Grad together. How exciting for you to be used by the Lord to speak to all those youth in Singapore! What a great ministry He led you to — and which I believe He prepared you for these past few years.
Jim
Amazing! Perfect! Lovin’ it for you!
Thrilled for the kingdom, for young people, for the team of Landon and you and where God is going to take this. BTW, I did not get a copy of the bibliography at the retreat. Could you send me one? Thanks. I working on my chute fantasy.
Mike,
So glad you had a great trip. Isn’t Dave Hogan a great guy? I have such respect for him and the kind of ministry that he had done in that part of the world for so many years.
Thanks, guys. I’d love to write a whole blog on Dave, Jim. When I think of the word “missionary,” his will be the face that comes to my mind.
Prayers for your ministry, Mike!
Thank you, thank you and more thank yous!
