It was, indeed, unfortunate. Laws are laws. And you can't round up kids and leave a country with them. Hopefully, this was just a case of overzealousness by good people (though the word "Idaho" keeps reminding me of nutjobs with survivalist camps). But even so, it was "unfortunate."
