Loved your tweets from Haiti, Mark. This sounds like a great way to funnel help. Our contribution is on its way. Thanks for letting us participate with the Harding students.
The first person I met in the DR was Jim Morrison (always loved his work with the Doors). When he said he was a friend of Preacher Mike and that he used to read my blog, I knew that the Lord had sent me to the right place.
Mark – That was the same Dr. Jim I wrote about right after “the wreck” — when he met us in the ER and when he packed up his stuff and went to Ft. Worth to provide round-the-clock care for our injured children.

Clinton terms Haiti child smuggling case ‘unfortunate’ “It was unfortunate that, whatever the motivation, this group of Americans took matters into their own hands,” Clinton said.
Couldn’t disagree more, c hand. It was, indeed, unfortunate. Laws are laws. And you can’t round up kids and leave a country with them. Hopefully, this was just a case of overzealousness by good people (though the word “Idaho” keeps reminding me of nutjobs with survivalist camps). But even so, it was “unfortunate.” That’s being very kind and generous about the situation.
Being a help in evacuating children that had no place to stay and then prosecuted stinks. What about the adults being evacuated to the US? Will we be prosecuted and sued? This should go away quickly. The children were on the same island. No, this has really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Thanks, Mike!

Thanks for the referral to this work! We are gathering resources here for a major contribution…

Bj – The haitians are just maintaining law and order in the face of a Baptist missionary “nutjob” invation?
