Forget “Paranormal Activity.” Remember back when this frightening movie came out?

Speaking of spooky . . . Ayn Rand’s Revenge.

And we’ve been enjoying “6 Reasons Why Zombies Would Make Cool Parents” on the Zits comic strip.

I love that Mary Poppins trailer

But THIS is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. It continues to haunt me.

    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

The American government equivalent of the Blair Witch Project, The Omen, and The Shining — all rolled into one: http://images.encarta.msn.com/xrefmedia/sharemed/targets/images/pho/00068/00068582.jpg

Here’s our Halloween family tradition: spaghetti.

It started one year in Searcy. My sister and niece came over for a quick bite before we took all the kids out to trick-or-treat. So we quickly cooked some spaghetti: easy and loved by every child in the world.

The next year they came over, we talked about running out to grab some food, and my son complained, “But where’s the spaghetti? We ALWAYS have spaghetti on Halloween.”

    Kids want, need traditions!

So, lo these many years later and we’re still having spaghetti.

A bit of Buffett for Halloween (along with “Desperation Samba” and his rendition of “Werewolves of London”):

Vampires, mummies and the Holy Ghost
These are the things that terrify me the most
No aliens, psychopath or MTV hosts
Scare me like vampires, mummies and the Holy Ghost.

Re: Ayn Rand, typical NYT leftism. Sensing a very real threat that the Messiah’s vision of dismantling the institutions that nurture the Founders’ (BHO calls them “so-called Founders”) version of individual liberty will be resoundingly thwarted by those filthy, grassroots conservatives, the NYT sees the need to swing wildly at any target its columnists can associate with the GOP opposition, no matter how implausibly. Now THAT is hilarious. qb

I grew up hearing Ayn Rand’s writings attacked in sermons and publications because Christians were convinced that her focus on the self-centered individual (“I am not primarily an advocate of capitalism but of egoism”) was dangerous. The opposition wasn’t to a support of capitalism, of course. I think the concept of THE VIRTUE OF SELFISHNESS made them nervous. But, alas, times have changed.

Do you understand that this is the best time to get the loans, which would realize your dreams.
