Kendra (a U2 fan of 27 years) and I were in Arlington. Our expectations were very high and they greatly exceeded them. It was also cool to run into so many people we knew in that throng of 100,000. The main downside could be the expensive hobby we picked up- namely going to any U2 concert we can manage.

Lots of ACU folks at the Dallas 360. Megan and I saw profs and students. Amen on the encore with the Desmond Tutu speech, followed by One/Amazing Grace (look up the lyrics on One – very profound), and Streets Have no Name. Thanks Mike!

I bought tickets for my husband’s graduation present…he’s loved U2 for years. And wow. It was quite an experience. I agree with Richard…hearing Bono sing “Amazing Grace” (as a lead-in to “Where the Streets Have No Name”) was phenomenal.

We saw them when they were in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium a couple of weeks ago…..great concert! Would prefer them in a smaller venue like American Airlines Center in Dallas though. Also, there were several of us in the over 40 (or 50) years age group as there were all ages there.

U2 360 in Toronto was a pilgrimage for me and my brother. What a thin space moment. The fascinating thing: U2 draws people for many different reasons. Some of the folks there don’t care much justice, social issues, etc.

Jana and I took the boys to the concert in Dallas. The acoustics were pretty bad where we were seated (up high), but the boys didn’t notice and could have cared less. It was their first live, rock concert. “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Where the Streets Have No Name” were religious experiences. But for us, the high point was Bono singing “Amazing Grace.”
