A Rapidly Changing World

Did you know?
- – - -
Ok, two bad things happened in the game we went to yesterday: the Rangers lost, and the Yankees won. However, it was a beautiful day at the ballpark.
We did have great seats that weren’t far from 3rd base, where we saw two for-sure Hall of Famers play (A-Rod and Omar Vizguel) and one other who might wind up in the Hall play (Michael Young).
Here’s an iPhone shot of Johnny Damon coming in between innings.

Did you know is very intriguing to say the least. I have trouble believing the younger generation will change jobs every 15 months or so for 20 years running – that’s pretty hard to do really.
I do believe the world will be infinitely more universal and global in it’s thought process. If someone invents a widget, he/she can look to the entire world to produce it, and then it can be marketed 100% online through Youtube, Google, Apple TV, and varios apps. Pretty cool.
I’ll tell you what it all means. It means Mike Cope is giving up preaching to hundreds each week so that he can preach to millions and billions!
Love that video – posted it on my own blog several months ago.
Very eye opening.
Fascinating video! A little scary — but fascinating. Makes me think you are in for some exciting times in the near future!
Didn’t know you were at the Rangers/Yankees game. Cool. I actually saw them on the field a few weeks back. Johnny Damon walked right by me at Fenway when I was setting up to volunteer for the Red Sox Foundation — he and his body guard, it looked like.
And Bryan met him last week, I’m guessing at a fund-raiser for his after-school program. Small (baseball) world.
“Johnny Damon swung a bat, grand slam that was that. An eighty-six year curse is gone.” (Ben Harper)
And all is right with the world as of yesterday. Rangers win, and are #1 in the AL! Going to see them play the A’s on Saturday.
Did you know God is a Yankee fan?
We took 1 of 3. Not bad against a team as hot as the Yankees have been. Still holding my breath until after the all-star break. If my Rangers can keep it rolling after the break I will feel better. Until then…just call me “waiting to exhale!”
I don’t think God is a Yankees fan. But, I do think God is a baseball fan. I know my daddy is in heaven this spring and asking God, “Smoltz is where!?!”
