Makes me think of my Papa saying goodbye to my Grandma in the exact same way. He sat by her casket and said “See ya soon” and three months later he did. His funeral was almost celebratory for our family, just knowing they had been reunited.

That grandbaby of yours is just adorable. And it’s obvious that you and Diane are smitten!!!

Those whom we often refer to as the greatest generation are leaving very quickly now, and the world is so much the poorer because of it. This couple to whom Mike is referring demonstrated such grace and integrity in their lives, just as a matter of course, much like so many of that generation have done and continue to do. We, the baby boomers, have been blessed to witness their lives. And as this lovely widow indicated, “I’ll see you later, Sweetheart,” the reunion will be something to behold! May we continue the legacy and honor them throughout OUR days.
