"Match Day" sounds like "The Draft" to me. Did y'all go to Buffalo Wild Wings like we do with our players to watch it on TV (just in case their name is called....ya never know)?

Counting down to Easter morning . . . .

ME TOO!!! Not only for all the obvious reasons, Easter, Celebration, and your return, but also from a personal side, my return to church after 6 weeks of illness. Looking forward to it! PTL! for His goodness!

I pray the "Match" is a happy, close one for all of you. :)

Hi Mike
Thanks for picking UNC . I dont participate in the choosing except for the end one. I am like you I just like UNC. Since Michigan is nowhere to be seen. As i write this I know you know where Matt and Jenna will be going/ But don't do what we did 12 years ago/ We followed to Abilene from Michigan our only grandchildren/ Do you think maybe that would happen to you? They have ben some great years for us. We got to be there for all the important events and the daily mundane ones also/ I pray you get the chance to do the same, it is just pure joy. Plus all the other benefits of moving here , Highland, you and Diane, and from that Zambia. I have just started the Shack/ Remember Easter is coming, especially for us this year.
                               Laura

"Match Day" is the day that all 4th year medical students learn which Resident Program they matched with. Big deal for them and family if they got what they want. Can even be bigger deal for the grandparents of how far they have to travel to see the grankids.

I understood everything in this post except this:

"Today we’re in Houston for “Match Day.” We’ll know at 11:00 a.m. where our granddaughter will live for the next 3-7 years!"

Someone help me out here. What on earth is "Match Day"?

Mike,

If folks want to see even more of what remains from that trip up Kilimanjaro, they should also visit us at mvuleproject.org. The Mvule Project is our most ambitious attempt to scale the mountainous challenges of economic development in East Africa.

In simple terms, it's a tree-planting project. But it's so much more than that.

Yes, it helps the environment by replenishing devastated natural resources through reforestation, but it will also empower impoverished communities with financial resources, fund educational and economic opportunities, and contribute to the emergence of sustainable social, spiritual, economic, and environmental change.

You can read more about How It Helps east African villages on the Mvule Project website. There's also a video or two that explains the project as well.

Or folks can contact me with questions by email at jimmy[at]mvuleproject.org
