I know everyone in Texas is giddy about the Dallas win over Green Bay last night.

Just a thought or two about the comparison between SLC and Abilene:

SLC - Huge metropolitan area accompanied by higher cost of living, higher salaries and higher housing costs, among other things.

Abilene - Small city out on the prairie with lower cost of living and salaries, and housing costs.

Comparisons can skew reality sometimes, imho.

Hi Mike
Any chance we can hear that game on the radio? Our grandson will be on the sidelines in a sling for a separated shoulder. He was really bummed he couldn’t suit up. He was hoping that the Eagles will beat Soutlake so well that he would get a chance to get on the field, even though he is stil a JV. We will probably be Eagle fans from the longest distance cheering for them. So Africa is cheering for the Eagels. Well at least Namwianga Mission, Zambia

I am rooting for Abilene High. I would love for them to beat SLC. SLC beat our team in ‘02, ‘04, and ‘05 in the State Semi-finals. We are out this year. Good Luck Eagles.

Last time I checked, Giddens, which was a couple of weeks ago, David Faltys was still the Super in Southlake ISD. He carries a “Dr.” prefix now (visualize *that*!), but I doubt he’s let it go to his head.

Come to think of it, qb needs to contact Faltys again to refresh my memory of the fret positions for the riff in “Purple Haze.” qb

Hey qb,

Who is the Aggie that’s the superintendent at Southlake? That would have been my class had I hung around till the end………… Man, that brings back some great memories. AFC trips, devo, hanging out in the “C” (is that right, the “C” = student center), taking Chem 101 where I failed all 5 exams, scored a 98 on the final and made a B in the class. That’s what I’m talkin’ about!

Also, thanks Kyle and Kent for the insurance info. That has been a thorn in my side since I began preaching. Maybe this will help.
