Hutchins seemed very likeable, well-studied, confident and believable, a much different picture than when he was on CNN a while back. Then he was more hateful, arrogant and sarcastic. Some of that started to slip out in the debate, especially near the end where Denish started talking about Mother Teresa (or is Theresa?). I think it was, "gag me with a spoon!". Maybe be some day he'll realize that he loses credibility when he starts in with that kind of talk. It's an old debating trick that most can see through. He represented atheism well, but I have never heard the case for Christianity and God put so well as Mr. D'Souza put it. Hitchins even gave him props for how well he did and has done in the past. To me he addressed every issue raised with sincerity, candor, scholarship, reason, intelligence, and seasoned it all with grace and charm. I love people who have been gifted by God to be able to address this very complex issue. I've never seen it done any better. Thanks for linking to it. It has blessed me today.
