Galatians

I’m preparing to preach half a dozen messages from Galatians. Paul on steroids. With a bit of a mood. Unfortunately, the message of Galatians has often been muted by people assuming (wrongly, it seems) that it is just a small version of Romans.

That baby is such a Cope. Wow - striking resemblance to her grandpa, uncle and daddy!! (Except for her lovely alabaster-like skin, of course.)

That girl just makes me smile every time I see pictures of her! She is blessed with a very special family for sure.

Galatians - have a look at Scot McKnight’s two posts on the New Perspective on Paul. They are helpful in understanding Galatians and the background of the conflict. It is also helpful in getting into a 1st century perspective of works, law, etc. that the Jews thought because the views over the last couple hundred years have been severely clouded by Luther, etc. Also check out Dunn’s Galatians commentary in the Black’s Commentary Series. God bless with the new series.

Got to love those pink little grandbabies! Good pics.

Check out Clarence Jordon’s Cotton Patch Version to help get to the heart of the real problem of Galatians.

Lots of joy and delight in those pictures. Congratulations again.

You’re right about Galatians not being the Cliffs Notes on Romans. Will the sermons turn up online?

I ordered the N.T. Wright book on Paul. Can’t wait to read it. Thought you might like these sermions from Galatians by the preacher at the University Church of Christ in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
