The Consolation Trip

All right — I didn’t get the Grand Junction trip for my birthday, thanks to a 4-3 loss in the championship game. So the consolation prize was that we got to come to Pensacola Beach, which I wrote about in my very first blog entry four years ago. It’s still being rebuilt since Hurricane Ivan hit, but we’re so thankful to be back.

Here are a couple shots — one of Chris and his cousins on the putt-putt course:

Hey! If you drive back to Texas on I-10 stop by for a visit! I only live about seven miles south of the interstate! I’ll give you the tour around Pascagoula … come on Sunday and preach for us! I have lots of plans for your vacation! ;)

    Enjoy yourselves and relax.

By the way…blogger Jim Martin is also in that area … wouldn’t it be a twist for two Texas preachers to come by and see me this week on their way home!

John - Is that the Pascagoula Run Jimmy Buffett sings about?

    Mike-
I don’t know about Buffet, but I remember a song by Ray Stevens…something about a squirrel in church causing a revival…

Congratulations to your boys and their coaches! It takes good playing and good coaching to go that far.

Mike - you need to write a book on travel….”How to travel Cheap on a Moment’s Notice!”….or, so it would seem to us bloggers. Safe travels.
