Sometime this morning, the clicker will hit 2,000,000. It’s artificial, of course, since I didn’t start the clicker until early in the 2nd year of the blog. Our junior league team won District on Friday night, ending the tournament 7-0. Next up is Sectionals, which begins in Ft. Worth this Thursday night. I’ll be getting there from Houston, since I’m speaking at Bammel Road on Wednesday evening. (I never used to travel to do summer Wednesday series. It is easier to get me in Houston right now, however! Funny how a grandbaby changes everything.)

1,233 left at 8:52. This is a rate right now of about one hit every 6 seconds (15/minute). Is there a prize for guessing at what moment you pass 2,000,000? I say 10:20 Abilene time. And a Mickey Mouse watch would be a good prize.
I just looked at the hits in the last 6 minutes, and the rate changed dramatically. It blew my theory to bits, but I’ve already guessed for the record. Oh well…….
Don, perchance it’s not your theory that needs tweaking, but your ‘rithmetic. Assuming qb’s RPN calculator is still doing its job reliably, 15×6=90, not 60.

Well, I guess the site is getting a bunch of hits, b/c in the 3 minutes from when I first clicked on, there have been about 60 hits. Wonder if someone is just sitting there clicking to try to be 200,000?
How about I just declare myself the winner while I hang around for the clicker to move? Will that work? Aaaaah! C’mon, let it be, huh?
It’s actually just 2 millions hits. It’s not 2 millions unique hits. Google analytics is a great free way to track visitors to your site…

We are shameless. I feel like I am playing the slots. Mike, your story about your willingness to vist Houston reminds me of how easily I could get Carl Brecheen to speak at our congregation in Memphis. I guess it did make a difference that he had two grandchildren who lived down the street. When they moved he was suddenly unavailable, but it was fun while it lasted.
