I didn't get to see it either, and am also wishing for an online link to the show. You can see some articles and a video clip about the show on Oprah.com (the link Mike provided) but it isn't quite the same as seeing the whole thing (though better than nothing).

Mike, (or anyone) is there a way to see the Oprah interview (with Pam Cope) online? We were at work and all attempts to tape it were foiled.

Mike did you notice that the cheerleader also played in one of your favorite movies. "Remember the Titans" She is the young daughter of coach Youtes.
Kester I hope you are right about a spiritual theme building in the show. I have not seen that but will look for it.

But I digress. (again)

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their respasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV).

I've struggled for years to come to terms with the idea that the "ambassadors" were not only the apostles and early evangelists, but each and every Christian. It's finally breaking in to my mind, after several years of mission work, ministry and then personal darkness...we are heralds of the King.

Great post, I think you're spot on. Sometimes maybe it's not so bad to watch a little TV. :-)

Well I watched Oprah for the first time in my life yeaterday. I was glad to see Pam and all of the attention that she and the Village of Hope recieved. I just kept wishing that Oprah would let Pam and Randy talk more and they didn't have so many commercials. Save the children, save the world! God be praised!

I also came to "Heroes" late and have also really enjoyed it. There is an obvious spiritual back story that they plan on developing, and that excites me.

I got thinking of the Saul who would become Paul. Save our enemy, save the world. Sometimes salvation pops up in the most unlikely places, so we show love and share mercy with everyone we know.

"They are people whom God has blessed, so they can be a blessing to others." So very true.

We are all ordinary people capable of doing great things by the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ...even if that great thing is only giving a cup of cold water to someone who is thirsty.

Let us all strive to be like Jesus who went about doing good. We can all make a difference in someone's life today.
