Peyton will be unstoppable on his way to the first of 2 Super Bowl rings. He will remove the N.E. monkey off his back this week. Is there a nicer coach and human being than Tony Dungy?

As a lifelong Bears fan, I'd love to see them win. We will if Good Rex shows up for the next 2 games.

Saints over the Bears

If Superbowl matchups have taught us anything, you need a reliable QB. This is the week Rex Grossman gives the media and critics plenty to write about. Drew Brees, on the other hand, has been solid and opportunistic throughout the year.

Colts over the Pats

If the Colts and Manning don't do it this year (on their home field), then it's going to be many years before another shot. They already beat them once this year (at New England), so here's to relying on their confidence. Manning, please play like we all know you are capable of.

Colts over the Saints

I love the "feel-good story of the year." But, I graduated from high school in Indiana in 1995. Seeing through all those tough years of...

"Lord, help our Colts"...cult Indiana radio classic through the 90's...

Former coach Jim Mora's hilarious quote..."playoffs! playoffs!?? don't talk about playoffs! playoffs!?? are you kidding me!? playoffs!?"...

Jeff George and Jim Harbaugh as quarterbacks...tough years...

Letting go of Marshall Faulk...who's idea was that anyway...

I'm hoping for justice. But, as long as Tom Brady is playing opposite the Colts, I'm never confident (with history on my side).

Grant, I think you are right on.

I hate the Patriots, but my wife asked me the other day why I loathe them, and I could only come up with like 2 reasons. Aren't there more reasons for me to hate the Patriots? Can you help me find why my flesh recoils against them?

After
- being baptized in the sea of Katrina and the cloud of Rita,
- wandering for 40 years in the wilderness of poor seasons,
- recovering their once demolished stadium tabernacle,
- seeking a home where Bears and nephilim stalk,
- changing leaders before their assault on the Promised Land . . .

The Saints now confront the walls of Jericho.

Sound the horn. Display the thread in the window. THEM SAINTS ARE MARCHING IN!

The stars are lined up just right, and it's the Saints year. No doubt about it. That city needs a Super Bowl win.

"I really don’t want to be for the patriots, but I can’t help it because Tom Brady is just so darn cute!!"

Puhleazze! And this coming from someone who grew up in Chicago. ;-)

Can't we just all agree that Peyton (Manning) and Tony Dungy or (Sean) Payton and Drew (Brees - from Austin Westlake) really are due for rings. Not to mention long-suffering New Orleans fans.

And PLEASE don’t suggest again that Jeter is better than A-Rod.

No one has to suggest it. From March through August, very few are as good as A-Rod. However, from August 31 on, "people like Joe Hays" are better than A-Rod. And you are right, he does play for the wrong team. He needs to go back to a team like the Rangers again, lose 90+ games a year, rack up stats, MVP's, etc., and then people will get off his back.

Why are commenting about this leading up to the NFL's Championship Weekend?
