Tomorrow Morning (Updated Sun AM)
2007 January 13
Because of the ice that has come, the cold temperatures, and the ice on its way tonight, everything at Highland tomorrow has been cancelled EXCEPT for our 10:15 assembly. We’ll make a call on the assembly early tomorrow morning depending on what happens tonight.
This cancellation includes the service of lament and remembering that had been scheduled for tomorrow evening.
UPDATE: After talking to the Abilene Police Department this morning, we have decided to cancel everything (including the 10:15 assembly) at the Highland building today. Please be safe!

Mike, I just want to offer a word of encouragement, so you will hopefully have more encouraging words than discouraging ones concerning your knee surgery. I don’t know exactly what you had done, but I fell very sure you won’t regret it, but will be very glad you had it done. The reason I say that is that I have had 2 total knee replacements in the past year. The first one, a year ago, was quite painful, the second one in August, was a breeze. Yes it takes a long time for such invasive surgery to heal, but when it does it’s a great feeling. Before the surgery I walked like Granpa McCoy, but I can almost walk normal now and without pain. So, ignore the naysayers take care of your self and make my second prophecy come true. And if an old man is allowed to say so, that cute little blond is even prettier as mature woman. And mature isn’t an implication of anyone getting old, just better!!!

Family house church Sunday! Pretty cool.
Hope everyone stays safe.
Well, I wasn’t going to be able to make it anyway
How the heck did you guys get all our winter weather?
Wish I’d checked this before driving out there this morning. On the plus side, the only ice I encountered on the drive from ACU to Highland was the stuff I had to scrape off my windows.
Surely did miss everyone this morning, especially since classes were to resume. It would have been fun and enlightening to hear David Lang preach! Love his just a tad off center sense of humor!
I pray you are recovering well and will be back into normal activities very soon!
great mike,…all i got is corn flakes and some old grapes…help…
This comes as no surprise………most of us knew you were headed down the slippery slope that ends with forsaking the assembly. What’s next……meeting in homes?!?

No church, but plenty of football.
GO CHARGERS!!! YEAH!!!
We’re having sunny and 60′s here, it’s hard to imagine Texas being so much the opposite! But we usually follow your lead, so I better soak it in while I can!
Wow! In Florida we tend to forget you winter weather people. 78 here today.
However, God knows that we all need a break for our “institutional” form of church.
Peace.
I have been watching the news and seeing the storm reports. It is hard to imagine when it is 68 degrees here in Tennessee. Be careful out there!

I have no doubt it was slippery, but where in Abilene would one find a slope? An I-20 overpass maybe?
Neosho really got hit hard. Steve’s mom hasn’t had electrical power in 3 days. Hope your family is okay.
