Happy 2007!
“May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

Only in Abilene . . .
KTXS, the ABC affiliate in Abilene, got their timing off on the tape-delayed Dick Clark New Year’s show. So the 14 of us here enjoyed watching the ball drop at Times Square at exactly 11:25 CST.
… and also with you.
Thanks, Joyce.
Happy New Year! Ah, the marvels of modern technology!
We were wondering what happened there - we flipped it on to see the ball drop and it never did. Thankfully we had our handy atomic clock nearby and we brought in the new year on a somewhat timely basis. We missed it by a few seconds due to bottle opening delays, sparkling cider bottle that is, of course. :o) It is a happy new year because the Lord IS with us.
Hopefully they get that fixed before Kickoff(s) Mike - Happy New Year! Am I the only one that gets a little loopy watching games with that blue field in Idaho?
Happy New Year Mike! The Lord bless you and keep you keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you peace.” Number 6:24-26 I pray this blessing on you, your family and ministry this next year Mike.
Happy New Year, Mike and loved ones!
There were about 20 of us celebrating the last moments of 2006 playing Cooties at the Bectons’ - lol - and as is their tradition in devotional to our LORD while welcoming in 2007. Fun and beautiful.
May this new 2007 bring the peace of the LORD, His love, and joy to all!
HAPPY NEW YEAR
ummm..can i just say im ready for a new year?…Happy New Year, Mike!
So … you got to go to bed a half-hour earlier than you expected. What’s the problem?
Reminds me of New Year’s Eve 1999. Since there was a celebration every hour on the hour on TV, I moved the clocks 3 hours ahead in the middle of the day and at 9pm (CST) we ran around the house celebrating and showed the kids the celebration on TV and promptly put them to bed….after-all, the clocks said it was midnight. We then enjoyed a quiet end to 1999 and probably went to bed at 11 with Dick Clark.
Happy New Year.
Maybe that explains why in some parts of Abilene, it’s still 1956.
Blasted, Steve and I fell asleep again and never saw the ball drop either.
Happy New Year to all!
I was hoping to visit Highland last Wednesday night while my family and I were in Abilene visiting my sister-in-law, but your building was locked up tighter than Alcatraz. Sorry we missed you. I was told Sam and Ginny Bolin attend there. Is that true? I knew them from ElPaso and was hoping to see them as well. Lucky for you I wasn’t the proverbial “visitor passing through town possibly needing to be baptized”, because with you not having services and all, I would have been denied the opportunity to be saved.
Happy New Year!
Brad - Sorry about that! Yes, we usually have nothing at the building for a couple Sundays over the holidays. Hope you had a good trip!
