Merry Christmas from Central Pennsylvania, where it rained all day on Christmas Day. I'm going to celebrate the entire 12 days of Christmas, so maybe there is still hope...

I really enjoy your blog, as much as I enjoyed listening to your sermons at College Church and Wednesday night classes at Ad Aud at Harding in 1987-88.

Merry Christmas, Mike, et al.

It is truly amazing that the Creator would humble himself to the form of the created so that his ransoming gift would have a chance to convince us of his love. In a backwater Roman occupation, in a minor little podunk town, our Savior was born in a stable and slept in a manger.

Cool today in Abilene, north wind blowing but sunny. Kids opening packages. Big fire in the fireplace, foil dinners, tea and crescent rolls for lunch, buttermilk pie and Carnegie cheesecake with wild blueberry filling for dessert. (I think I hurt myself)

Blessings on you all.

Merry Christmas, Mike! Since you have no snow, go to a movie. That's what we do a lot on holidays. A couple of years ago we went to see the brand new to the movies "Phantom of the Opera," which I think is the mos romantic movie ever made. I liked the Phantom, too!

But Saturday we went to see The Nativity Story and I highly recommend it. It was a very quiet movie, but very authentic and real feeling. Very well done. It's one of those that when you walk out you think - there wasn't a lot to that - but it hits you later and you keep thinking about different scenes and thoughts from what you saw and what all it meant. I really liked it a whole lot in seemingly accurately portraying the primitive conditions of the day, the fear of the Romans, Mary & Joseph's growing relationship that didn't start too well at all.

It was really a lovely movie and well worth seeing in the theater.

Here in South Mississippi it's pretty cold and very gloomy today. Rained hard all day yesterday and last night and was miserable. But we're cheery!

Happy Christmas from snow-less Michigan. They've put a some flurries in the forecast for today, but I think it's more to comfort people than something that will actually happen. We'll see. The day is young.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Well there haven't been many years when the snow was a no-show. We've come up every other Christmas since 1978, but haven't started skiing until about eight years ago. When there's plenty of snow, the sledding is amazing. Great memories of cousins stacked on top of each other, zipping down the hill with one or two falling off along the way.

With the hills, trees, and hiking trails, it's so beautiful here.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas! Mike.

If you wanted to ski I guess you should have gone to Denver!!

But while you are in Ohio, just soak in all the great OSU Buckeye love!!

We have a tradition on Christmas Eve to go to a movie, and then afterwards to do donuts in the Lowes parking lot in North Canton (my husband driving with all the kids screaming - they are adults now - in the back seat). We were disappointed with no snow yesterday too!

Best wishes to you and your family.
