Hello!

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderfully inspiring sermon about “limping” through life. Because of your sermon, I was able to pass along the analogy to two different people that very afternoon. Thank you for the inspiration. Jack and Jill behind you again blessed us all. I am so thankful for the way the three of you preach to us–visually and verbally.

What a joy to have another precious Megan (Zoe Megan) in your lives. God has a way of “circling” up the precious moments in our lives by placing “intentions” in our hearts! Thankfully, Elizabeth and Greg did just that!

Mike and Larry - I’d like to officially welcome you to the Tigers’ fan club. Two series into the post-season isn’t too late to join. I, too, like the name “Zoe Megan.” Perfect for your lives. Let me ask a question, Mike. Is this the first baby girl named after Megan?

After our little brother, Mark Alan, died, several families named their sons Mark in honor of him. I, too, later on named my younger son Mark Austin, in honor of my little brother. My Mark nearly died after birth, so it was with great reverence that I thanked God for His goodness in giving me a 2nd Mark to fill my life.

I promised God I would dedicate my life to Mark and his life to God as Hannah did in the Old Testament and just one year ago Mark named his little daughter, Hannah, which I thought was most fitting. Her older sister is . . . Zoe. Life. Zoe Elizabeth.

In re: God is working to repair this world. He’s doing it in obvious ways; mostly, he’s doing it in ways that don’t catch headlines. The whole mustard seed thing, you know. He’s inviting us to join him in that. In big ways, and small ways. Keep your eyes open today for opportunities.

Don’t you (y’all) think that blogging is one we spread the mustard seed? I mean . . . is that not true? What do you say, Mike? You are a mustard seed spreader.

As for the Cowboys - any win is a good win, no matter who plays or does what. Our Cowboys flag will be flying high if we can ever get our house built!

(Selecting a plumbing rat like T. O. for America’s Team is sorta like selecting a murderer to extend the kingdom into the world of the Gentiles. It kills me to say it ‘cuz I don’t like the guy at all.)

Would it hurt him so much, really, to make a touchdown, drop the ball or toss it to the ref, and jog back to the sidelines the way the toothless warriors of the past did it? It’s embarrassing in the extreme. It would appear that class is the Endangered Species of the future, and sooner than I had e’er dreamt.

And I’d block downfield for the Pokes for half of a tenth of what T. O. makes if it would shut him up.
