Mike, I second Carolyn's comment about your sermon. I liked the phrase: "From tree to shining tree" as a descriptor of "From Creation to Revelation".

It is also good to be reminded of how our bodies are the "Temple" of the Holy Spirit and wherever we go, we take the Kingdom with us.

I have a friend who, like Paul, feels it is better to die and be with the Lord than it is to live. He finds little comfort in this life and is just ready to go. In fact, everyday, he asks God if today will be the day of his Homecoming. And maybe some of it is just that fear of pain and other disabilities that can occur as we grow older, or maybe his feelings are truly God-given.

While I, too, want to be ready at any moment to cast off these mortal chains in favor of being forever with the Lord, I relish the thought, that today in this life, God chooses ME as his dwelling place, and where I go, He goes, and where He goes, the Kingdom is! Wow! What a gift!

What a beautiful idea. Have you ever heard of Jubliee in the ocean? One morning I was walking on the beach by the Gulf of Mexico, and every sea creature imaginable (almost) was near the beach. It's some kind of sea phenom, and it was a specatular thing to witness. When I first began reading Underhill's quote, that's what I thought was the allusion. The mustard seed has sprouted and encompasses every species, every ethnicity, every culture bringing it all into the universal kingdom.

Yes, Mike, thank you for the blessing of the Underhill quote (Water cleansing once more!) and for your "The Church Has left the Building" message today. From creation to Revelation--wow!--GOD's benevelence, faithfulness and power. It's high time we got out of the building (after worship assembly, of course :-) to catch up with where He's going!

Thank you for the blessing, and back to ya.

We have been extremely blessed this Sunday to have borrowed Randy Harris from you for the weekend. Words fail me at the moment, but we have been blessed.

God is always in our midst, but today He showed up in a very tangible way through Randy and his timely messages to our church.
