Mile High Zoe

We’re in Denver for our third and last “In Christ Alone” conference (earlier in Nashville and Fresno).

It’s just so gorgeous here. There are actually people who can look out their windows and see the Rockies — Long’s Peak, no less. There is incredible hiking and cycling everywhere! But (I keep telling myself) it’s possible that the people who live here don’t have as keen an anticipation of heaven. They live in a piece of it already!

We’ve missed Brandon the last couple months as he’s taken a sabbatical, but Peter Wilson and Randy Gill have done a great job of leading the team.

    Mike,
Hopefully you will meet Jimmy and Jenna Golden. They are wonderful friends, and dedicated workers. He took over Geri’s office when we moved.

While in Arvada, see if you can prevail upon Kenneth Reed (one of the Arvada church’s shepherds) to take you up Poudre Canyon to Cameron Pass on his Harley, with a stop for pie and coffee halfway down. “Stunning” doesn’t even come close.

He and his wife, Betty, are just delightful, and I owe them dearly for their influence for Christlikeness.

    Mike:
I’m jealous! CO is one of my favorite places! My coaching staff and I summited Pikes Peak when coaching at ACU. Have fun!

Please tell LaJuana Gill I said hello! I used to work with her at Pepperdine, and I babysat their son a couple of times.

May your time in CO be blessed.

What a gorgeous spot on God’s earth to spend vacation (??) time. CO is so beautiful.

How blessed you are to be able to spend time there, all the while enjoying the altitude. Give me mile high cities anytime! Love ‘em!

We miss you around here, hope you thoroughly enjoy your time on the mountain top!

My husband and I were blessed to be able to attend the Zoe conference today. It was awesome! We were especially blessed by Sally Gary’s class–she has an amazing message and an even more amazing vision and plan. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the new ministry!

Mike: Give my best to Kenneth and Betty Reed. They served our congregation here in College Station for from 1984-1994. Hope you got a ride on Kenneth’s Harley.

I llive in Portland. We used to live in Abi-hole. It is amazing how many people are numb to the beauty in this place.

It is also amazing how un crowded it is in some very spectacular places.

In Texas a pretty place is jammed pack with empty Coor’s light cans and dirty diapers.
