Jerry’s sermon this morning was profound. Speaking from Matthew 6:1-18, he talked about the addiction of approval. I would encourage everyone to download it from our podcast (in a couple days) and listen to it. Many of us probably need to hear it about once a month!
I have got to get that sermon, it was so powerful and we all needed to hear it.
He totally blew me away. It took everything I had not to jump up out of my seat. I haven’t “amen-ed” that much during a sermon in a long time. Max got a little embarrassed when I started clapping. And we all know there’s nothing better than embarrassing your child. It’s been a very good day.

Mike I enjoyed watching you and Diane serve this morning. Not as a preacher on a pedestal (Jerry rocks) but as a servant with a towel raped around his and her waist.
Clint - Thanks, my friend. Diane has served a few times before. But as far as I can remember, I’ve never served down the aisles during my 15 years at Highland. (We have served from the front, of course.) A few of the helpers in back were getting tickled by my need to be instructed in the basics–as if I was a twelve year old serving for the first time!
