I can't tell you how much it means to me that readers like you are able to wade through the muck that was my life and see the redeemptive work of Christ through it all. I still see Pastor Smitty and Betty whenever I go home to Georgia, and many of those friends I made there at Rose Hill Baptist Church. I think that was one of the messages I was trying to communicate -- the power of a church community and how it can heal the hurts of a young child by providing that child with a "safe family."
