He has complained of headaches recently which is the reason the MRI was done. We told him that the reason for his headaches is that he has something in his head the size of a golf ball and now we are going to find the best way to take it out so he has no more headaches. We stressed to him that this is nothing he could have prevented, it is not his fault or anyone's fault. We will continue to explain things as we get closer to the time. Explaining this to him was one of the hardest things I've done. He understands, but doesn't fully get the seriousness of the situation. Owldog, we told Tyler today about his tumor. My son Tyler is being referred to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis. An MRI, tests, etc. is scheduled for Oct. 19th, and surgery will take place later that week. Including recovery, we will be in Memphis for approximately 2 weeks. This is a huge relief to know that our little boy will be at such a high quality hospital. Of course we know this is step 1 in a long process. Please continue to lift Tyler up in your prayers. Laura and I appreciate the prayers for him...words can't fully express how we feel. We did let the Dodgers win a time or two, but where are they today. All baseball teams come and go except the Yankees. Now, I will admit as long as our fellow Abileneian is on the Angels I will pull for them. But look in a year or maybe two- What team would you place a bet on, that will, "for sure" be there time after time?
