We just had ‘The 100-Minute Bible’ introduced to us over here in the UK. My blog post today has some links about this newest literary trend. Another example of what some will do to take short cuts through their over-scheduled lives. What are your thoughts?

As to Alison Krauss, we just had a wonderful experience with her and Union Station here in London two Sunday nights ago. There was a huge power outage in the theatre area, and the concert was delayed for almost an hour, but when Alison and the guys finally walked out on stage, the lights were bright and a little bit of Heaven was heard … what a blessing!

The posts and comments the past two days have been refreshing. I feel like I have been living in a pit of chaos. “Sabbath Rest” has been taken out of my vocabulary. Rcut – It was on TV last night. Don’t even know what channel. It was a concert raising $$ for hurricane victims.

I love the Zoe version of “A Living Prayer,” too. A couple Sundays ago we had the Kellie (Curtis) Miller version at Highland, which was quite stunning as well.

On Wednesday nights, we’ve been doing “Encounter,” a special time for reflection on the “seasons” of our spiritual growth. The most consistent feedback I’ve received is this: “This has been so wonderful. I don’t have time for anything like this during my week.” Our biggest hope and prayer through this worship experience has been that people will learn the value of spiritual reflection, and that they will grow in their abilities to see God’s work in their lives.

A quote that brings me back to this place that Tammy and you and so many others adressed yesterday…
“The good can be the enemy of the best.”
This is so true for me, as I fill my time often with so many things that are GOOD, but because of all of those things, I miss out on really spending time doing the BEST.

I do love “A Living Prayer”…the Sheryl Thomas version is quite amazing as well!

Mark and I also had heard she was going to be on this show and had to wait till almost the end to hear her! The whole time she sang, we sat motionless, taking in every note. If you’ve ever seen her in concert, she is equally as good if not better because there is two hours of her and the guys! We had the wonderful opportunity of hearing her at Riverbend Church in Austin a few years ago. She sings with such spirit and makes it seem effortless.

Let me also say, I REALLY love hearing Sheryl Thomas sing “A Living Prayer.” I’m glad the Zoe group included it in their newest CD!

Re: While surfing last night, I happened to catch Alison Krauss singing “A Living Prayer.”

It was Roy Acuff, I believe, who said that Alison Krauss “tickles the angels’ feet” when she sings.

This song touches my heart and stirs my soul each time I listen to it–a religious experience, indeed!
