Hi, I just found your blog. Actually, just heard about it via the Christian Chronicle.

To answer your question, email both saves time and wastes time.

I can send an email in lieu of a letter, while connecting with people who I normally wouldn’t have the change to talk to.

However, when I subscribe to 10 different mailing lists, more often that not, it wastes time.

I had to relace my 20 year old glove the other day. My 5 year old fired one in and the laces popped. He was quiet excited about it. By the way my glove has George Brett’s autograph in it.

Enjoy playing catch! The secret to catch is to move far enough away so you can work out the arm but no so far away so that you can’t have a great conversation.

I have my daddy’s old glove. He played softball with it, my brother used it some, I think, I played softball with it. In fact, it was that glove that fielded that hot grounder to me at second that bounced up and hit my mouth with braces. My daddy would sit on the front porch and rub it with saddle soap… those were the days.

I still have my glove from high school. It came in handy when I played fast pitch softball in college. I love my glove!

Email wastes time…if I’m getting online to check my email, I have little will power NOT to blog too, or atleast stop by here and my other favorites for a peek.

I’m still a fan of snail mail - there’s nothing like a hand written letter from someone you care about! It feels different in your hands, it smells different, and you know it took more time than the 30 seconds it takes to shoot off a quick email. It’s always nice to get something in the box besides bills and junk offers.

Oh man, Gibby is one of my all-time favorite players. I know he hit that homerun while playing for the Dodgers, but he will always be a Detroit Tiger. His homerun off of Goose Gossage in game 5 of the 1984 World Series was almost as good as the one in 1988.

Old gloves are the best. The one I used in little league, high school and still have was my dad’s old one. The autograph that they always have in the palm is Dale Murphy. I love that glove.
