It's kind of sad that a pitcher with such a low ERA could end up with a losing record. Guess that would hurt the chances for yet another Cy Young award even though he's still so dominant. There's no doubt he's been tremendous for Houston baseball though.

Watched my Angels cough one up yesterday while you were watching Roger. Came back from a 3-2 deficit by getting two runs in the top of the ninth and gave them right back in the bottom. Sigh.

Here's my dilemma for the day. If our teams can make us cry like this, and there are no tears in heaven, does that mean I'll never get those seats behind home plate on the other side of the veil? And if there's no baseball up there, what amazing alternative does God have in mind?

Growing up in New England, "The Rocket" was my hero. I'm sure watching him pitch in Houston is exhilarating, but seeing him mowing batters down at Fenway Park is a dream.

Roger still has it, amazingly enough. No, not the 20 strikeouts kind of "has it," but the "make baseball a better game simply because of my presence" kind of "has it."
