A morning in Larry and Linda Bridgesmith’s home in Nashville, surrounded by redbuds, tall oaks, and dogwoods. So THAT is what spring looks like. I’d forgotten . . . .
Hours to be with dear friends to plan next fall’s Zoe conference. The conference will be held in Nashville (fall 05), Fresno (winter 06), and Denver (summer 06).
Lunch at Baja Burrito. Please, please come to Abilene! And bring Barnes and Noble with you. Along with Pappasito’s.
A chance to read and re-read an article about the Yankees’ losing streak. Spend more money, George!
Home to Diane and Chris. Since Chris came home from the hospital following the wreck, I’ve had to shower him. He’s converted me into a shower singer. So I enjoyed washing his hair tonight as we sang at the top of our lungs “Said I Wasn’t” and “You Gotta Take the Lord With You.” (Sorry for that image.)

And I too am enjoying the Steinbrenner meltdown. I wonder if the 13-run 2nd inning gave his majesty reason to rejoice.
I was fortunate enough to be at the Yankee game last night and let me tell you - to see 13 runs in one inning (nevermind the SECOND inning) was something to be seen. But part of me was thinking: With this payroll, shouldn’t they be clobbering teams like this left and right? Shouldn’t a 13-run inning for the Yankees be normal?

I loved the description of you and Chris singing in the shower. Shoot, my 13-year-old daughter refuses to sing anything with me. (And yes, I can carry a tune pretty well, so it’s not because I’m tone deaf! LOL)

You should see all the dogwoods in Neosho right now. God’s beauty is absolutely spectacular. He used some extra special colors this year. But right now, I’m trying to get the image of you singing in the shower out of my mind. What a way to start my morning.

I miss trees.. period.. city life in Montevideo is great.. but I miss trees…
No trip to Nashville is complete without ordering the fish tacos at Baja Burrito. I will be there for a few days in May; I’m already looking for holes in the conference schedule to see when I can work in a visit to Baja!
And you Abilene people help me to be a little more grateful for the fact that I live less than a mile from both a Barnes & Noble AND a Border’s Bookstore. (And I pass another of each on my daily drive to/from work as well.)

I most definitely have plans for being at the conference this year-and this will be my first!
For those of you who like places like Baja Burrito-if you are ever in Lubbock (or just want to take a quick trip up) there is an excellent place (and I may be a bit biased since I used to work there) called Cilantro’s and they have the big ‘ol honkin’ burritos, from what I hear is a lot like Baja-just make sure you don’t eat like a day before you go!
It totally rocks…and I’ll add a few more restaurants I would like to see added here: Macaroni Grill, Braum’s and Cracker Barrel!
I would like to second Cracker Barrel. Lubbockites shouldn’t have to drive to Amarillo to indulge!
