We often hear that out of our darkest hour comes hope. These past couple of weeks have been very difficult for all of us, and our children, helping us realize that we are mortal. I believe Brody's funeral was a life altering experience for me and my children. Never before have I seen that many people from all walks of life, all ages, but for the love of a child and his family, it was unprecidented. Out of this tragedy, I will love my children more, attend Church more often, be a better Christian and better person in general. These kids have changed my life. Thank you Mike, for allowing us to be a part of your private grief, keeping us posted, and being a good example to all of us. We are elated that Chris is home, and the rest of the kids, and precious Brody, in his eternal home. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to pray for, and love you. In Christian Love

I am reminded of the song by Train, "Calling All Angels." The chorus is "Calling all angels/ calling all you angels/ I won't give up/ if you don't give up." I see that the Giver of Life sent you the Steves, Jacks, Missys and Kims so that Chris would not give up. I know you must be greatly comforted.

Just thinking about you guys, and praying for Chris. On a different note-I'm glad the brothers made it back safely from Pennsacola. They sure do drive long hours, and work hard for a couple of retired guys.

Chris is a prince in God's court and God's power in Chris' weakness will glorify the King as God has Chris on a mission for Him everyday!

Mike,

It's so good to read about the progress. My family and I will keep on praying for your family and the others too.

One of the best things about being a nurse - touching families like yours and having them touch you right back.

So glad that Chris and the others are now on the road to recovery! We have been praying here in Portland.

peace and rest to you and yours this weekend, my brother. Our thoughts are with you non-stop. We oughtta talk at some point soon about Abilene and Highland Sunday morning. We are really excited about coming. It will be so weird for me. My first trip home with no "home" to go to. We're staying with the Lorenzes--the next best thing! Can't wait to see you and your family.

I'm crying tears of joy that your son is on the road to recovery. It sounds like your family has a wonderful support team in place. I come here everyday for recent developments, prayer requests, and answers, so I really appreciate you taking the time to keep your blogging family updated. Observing this ime in your life takes me back to our days in the hospital with our little girl last year after a car accident. You learn quickly to be thankful for the staff that makes it their mission to make you comfortable. I'm sure you all left quite an impression on all of those nurses! May God continue to bless your family and to completely heal Chris's broken body.
