Do people ever stay in one place anymore? When we started going to church in Southlake in 1996 there were 37 couples in our DINC class. When we moved away in 2001 we were one of four couples who were still there. Today one one couple remains from that big group. (OK the church dividing twice didn't help with retention... but still.)
Abilene's loss is Nasville's gain! God speed Ms. Judy!

Mike, we're both being "good sports" this week and Tennessee is to be doubly blessed. Not only is Judy leaving this week - Barbara Bain is also. We had a farewell luncheon with Barbara yesterday. She's moving to Chattanooga. The SPFM will miss her so much - hers was the founding vision for this ministry several years ago.

Even though I've lived in "goodbye" cities, I really didn't expect Abilene to be yet another. Just another reason to be thankful for our eternal home - no goodbyes!! So, we weep together as we await the LORD's return.

Thanks, Mike! Very sweet. We are so excited about her being here. It seems hard to believe. You know, though, Abilene will always be home. You will always be my "pastor" and the friends there will always be our family. Maybe we'll have to bunk with you when we're in Abilene! ha!
