Home again!! Home from Utah. Now home from Missouri.

Too tired to blog. Just this . . . Today, Jantsen Barrett Cope, one of the most faith-filled, life-affirming, fun-loving kids I’ve ever known, would have been 21 today.

So . . . happy birthday, JB. Your uncle will never, ever forget you. Your absence makes me long for my real home.

Glad you’re home. Well you know what I mean. Almost home – home.

You Mike, make me, in some real ways, long for my real home.

    Thanks.

I know what you mean, Joel … keeping up with the Copes by blog makes me miss Abilene. And that’s something.

Nor will I soon forget chancing across them at a truck stop a few years back, on their way to Jantsen’s funeral, and being totally at a loss for words. (That’s something, too.)

I just pray that they never run out of words of encouragement from and for their extended family.

We love you, Mike. We grieve with you. We share in your losses. We’re glad you’re home, or at least as “at home” as believers can be in this world!

Yes, welcome home… to your nephew who would be residing in the same place as my son… and to you whom I hope will keep encouraging all those with the excruciating pain of loss with your tremendously empathetic words.
