Anyone else a Tim Russert fan? He is the one who, four years ago, made the phrase “Florida, Florida, Florida” a famous prediction, claiming the presidential election would turn on a close Florida vote. This year his prediction was “Ohio, Ohio, Ohio.”
Wish I could channel that ability. Could I get him to say, “The Longhorns, the Longhorns, the Longhorns”? Or, “The Rangers, the Rangers, the Rangers”?
Yeah, I like Tim Russert…when he’s asleep.
Can’t this whole thing just go away yet?
This morning, somone on Fox (I think) said, “It’s Ohio, Ohio, Ohio.” Made me immediately think of Russert. I even changed the channel to NBC - Katy, Matt, Al, and Anne. I doubt you could get him to say “Longhorns.” He’ll come up with something else SOONER.
Tim Russert’s da bomb. Of course, that comes from a news junkie that actually tapes Meet the Press on occasion.
Did anyone notice that Katie Couric was wearing black this morning? She was obviously mourning Bush’s re-election. On a related note: I wish I could have seen Michael Moore’s face when it became obvious that the President had won.

I’m running in 2008. I’m going to select Jon Stewart as my running mate. Actually, he’s going to run for president and I’m going to take the VP job because I’m a slacker. (See? I’m an honest candidate).
My only campaign promise is that I promise to do the dishes at least once/week — provided there are actually enough to run a full load. (Why waste water with a half-full washer?)
Tim Russert is the best in the biz… the only broadcast journalist I can think of that (a) asks equally-tough questions of each side, and (b) attempts to mask his own opinion in the process.
I like Tim Russert, but I think he really missed it. It was Utah, Utah, Utah. If we had all just voted for PEDRO then all of our wildest dreams could come true. (Reference to Napoleon Dynamite the BYU kids indie wonder film)
I must confess that I tape ‘Meet The Press’ as well. =)
