My condolences, Mike!
I just had a hunch the Red Sox were going to take home the Championship. Usually I’m a NL fan, but the Sox just HAD to make history this year. What a beautiful team! Have to say I loved it!! Sorry about the Cards. Maybe next year.

No, No, No. Refer back to the ALCS to see what the Red Sox have overcome (vs. the Yankees, first to do what they did, put on the Yanks the girdle of greatest joke job ever, made Rivera look human, danced in Yankee Stadium, so-whated the Nomar trade and we lost A-Rod hubub). No way that gets turned against them by a St. Louis squad that rolled over and died after Suppan bumped Lonnie Smith from the WS Base Running Hall of Shame. They learned (humility) what the Yanks did not. As Rod Stewart sang, “Tonight’s the night.”

Hey Mike,

Sorry about your Cards. The lack of dominant starting pitching is the problem for sure. The Red Sox seem to be a team of destiny (three generations of New Englanders have been waiting to have that said). As for Suppan, I wouldn’t let my 10 year old watch the instant replay of that boneheaded play. He doesn’t need to know what happened, he just needs to know that you have to be at your smartest on the base paths.

As for future Zoe Conferences, I would like to see one thing change. The early afternoon session (right after lunch) was the least enjoyable for me. I would personally like to either have a time of singing and prayer or another “breakout” session with some more of the classes being repeated. There were so many that I wanted to attend but just couldn’t.

I can’t wait to see that movie. Craig Fisher and Stephen Bailey have threatened me within an inch of my life if I don’t. I hear it’s quite funny.

You struck a nerve with this post. Nape is so terribly funny! I’ve seen it 3 times and would gladly go to a 4th. Some of my favorite lines (there were so many) include:

Napoleon Dynamite : Stay home and eat all the freakin’ chips, Kip.
Kip : Napoleon, don’t be jealous that I’ve been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I’m training to be a cage fighter.
Napoleon Dynamite : Since when, Kip? You have the worst reflexes of all time.
