The thing that jumps to the front of all the important ramifications of this big game is this.......what in the wide wide world of sports have we come to when our Little League baseball teams are now being named "Baacks" and "Half Moon"? I guess we are not in Kansas anymore, huh? Next thing you know that sawed off coach will be calling himself "I got game". Come to think of it, I believe "Knights" did retire his jersey.

GOOD LUCK!

Okay, I'm guessing Mike wrote that last 'anonymous' comment. Next thing you know, he'll be writing reviews of his own books!

And I'm not cynical. Technically, cynicism is 'An attitude of scornful or jaded negativity, especially a general distrust of the integrity or professed motives of others.' And I'm pretty sure tha tthe movitve of everyone commenting on your blog here is a feeble attempt to make themselves feel important.

Not me, though. I'm already important enough that my ego has it's own zip code.

I can't think of anything more exciting tonight in Abilene, TX than to watch Baack's and Half Moon duke it out for the Key City Little League Title. I've been waiting on this one and you can bet........I'll be there. In fact I think I'll go out a little early and eat a world famous Key City LL hamburger and fries. Life does'nt get any better than this baby.

Joe - I think maybe a better word than "cynicism" is "tongue-in-cheekism." I have no idea who several of the people commenting on are, but the ones I know have sharp wits (at least half true) and big hearts.

Mike,

I was wondering the same thing about the cynicism. I enjoy reading your blog, but I don't go to the comment section very often. It is too much like the church I grew up in.
