They found this confusing, since they had not used instruments at any recent worship time. A week or so later, Max Lucado contacted my dad to let him know the Oak Hills church had received a confusing letter dismissing them from the brotherhood for allowing women full participation in the morning worship. Having not taken that step, the leadership at Oak Hills was confused. The local church had confused the two churches and the reasons for their dismissal. It was loads of fun. Mike, I used to visit a friend at Harding when you were there, and other than the hours upon hours of pick up basketball (ha!), worshipping with you at College Church was always the highlight of the visit. I've always enjoyed your sermons/lessons, books, articles, etc., and I was happy to find this blog recently. I don't understand the apparent cold shoulder you are getting from the Searcy folks. Higland strives towards being a commmunity whose reality is one of cruciform life in every way rather that being a part of the corporate religious world which continues to mask its own agenda in doing it right.
